Senior Accountant – Confidential Manufacturing Company
Location: Bolingbrook, IL (Hybrid – 2 days in office)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $70,000-$80,000 base + 7% target bonus
About the Role
A rapidly growing, privately held manufacturing and distribution company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its lean and collaborative finance team. This is a high-impact role reporting directly to the Controller, offering visibility across multiple entities and the opportunity to contribute to process improvements, financial reporting, and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and thrives in a team-oriented, open-office environment.
Key Responsibilities

Own key accounting cycles including fixed assets, accruals, and payroll entries

Assist with annual budgeting and monthly forecasting

Perform general ledger reconciliations and prepare supporting documentation

Prepare and distribute weekly/monthly sales and financial reports

Support monthly inventory valuation and consolidation uploads

Collaborate with FP&A, Treasury, AP/AR, and other finance functions

Support internal and external audits
-
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls

Mentor junior team members and contribute to ad hoc projects
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)

CPA or advanced degree (preferred)

5+ years of accounting experience

Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, macros)

Experience with ERP systems (Business Central, Navision, QuickBooks a plus)

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $70,000-$80,000

Bonus: 7% target (based on company and individual performance)
