Responsibilities We are seeking a Software Developer – SME with a strong background in Full Stack development to join our dynamic team in Crystal City, VA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in modern front-end and back-end development, a solid understanding of database systems, and a commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions. This position is hybrid with the expectation being 3-4 days in office and 1-2 days remote per week. Job Description: As a Software Developer – SME, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions for our defense and government clients. This position requires a motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to tackle complex challenges while working with cutting-edge analytic and AI/ML technologies. Job Duties Develop clean, maintainable, and efficient Python code while adhering to best practices and coding standards. Create modern, user-friendly front-end applications using Streamlit or similar technologies. Utilize web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, to enhance user experience. Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs for seamless communication between systems. Build and maintain scalable backend solutions using Python and related frameworks. Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL, ensuring data integrity and efficiency. Implement and maintain version control using Git to streamline collaboration and code management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features. Ensure all developed solutions meet the highest security and quality standards. Contribute to all stages of the software development life cycle (SDLC), from concept and design to testing and deployment. Qualifications Required Skills and Experience: 10+ years of experience in a Software Development role. Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable, and efficient Python code. Demonstrated Rego experience for policy-based access control and authorization.
Essential proficiency in Open Policy Agent (OPA) for defining and enforcing policies, along with familiarity with Trino for distributed SQL processing (OPA is a mission critical skill).
Familiarity with Public Key Infrastructures (PKIs), Access Control Compliance Matrices (ACCMs), and Distributed Information Assurance Solutions (DIAS).
Advanced skills in Python for data manipulation, scripting, and automation tasks.
A strong background in Big Data technologies and methodologies for handling and processing large datasets.
Strong knowledge of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Experience with designing and maintaining scalable backend solutions using Python frameworks. Familiarity with database systems such as PostgreSQL and MySQL. Proficiency in implementing and maintaining version control using Git. Hands-on experience with Full Stack development and understanding of the software development life cycle. Due to US Government Contract Requirements, only US Citizens are eligible for this role.
