LABOR & EMPLOYMENT ATTORNEY (NON-PARTNERSHIP TRACK)

Our client, an AmLaw 100 firm with a strong global presence, is seeking a skilled Labor & Employment Attorney to join its California team in a remote salaried, non-partnership track role(link removed) This position offers a reduced billable hour target and the opportunity to work on sophisticated employment matters for high-profile clients within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Candidate Profile
- JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record
- Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing
- 6+ years (Class of 2018+) of substantive labor and employment law experience
- Litigation Expertise: Significant experience managing litigation matters independently, including drafting pleadings, managing discovery, taking depositions, and handling hearings
- Strong analytical, research, and legal writing skills
- Ability to oversee case strategy, manage deadlines, and interact directly with clients and opposing counsel
- Professionalism: Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and a client-service mindset in a fast-paced environment
Key Responsibilities
- Manage labor and employment litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Take and defend depositions, handle hearings, and engage in motion practice
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, briefs, and pleadings
- Advise clients on employment law compliance, workplace disputes, and risk mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to support comprehensive client service

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive Compensation: Annual base salary is expected to range from $150,000 $250,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and market factors
