Financial Controller
Location: South Metro Minneapolis Hybrid (2 days onsite / can be more if desired)

Role Summary
The Financial Controller will oversee all core accounting functions, financial reporting, and internal controls for the organization. This role ensures the integrity and timeliness of financial information while supporting business decisions through clear analysis, scalable processes, and strong team leadership.
Key Responsibilities

Lead all day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, AP, AR/collections, payroll, and month-end close

Deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports

Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with applicable regulations

Manage cash flow, balance sheet accuracy, and key reconciliations

Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance with GAAP

Support budgeting and forecasting efforts with variance analysis and trend insights

Partner closely with the CFO to provide KPIs, reporting, and financial insight to leadership

Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and relationships with outside advisors

Lead system enhancements, automation initiatives, and ERP optimization

Develop, mentor, and manage a team of accounting professionals, fostering accountability and engagement
What They’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s degree strongly preferred

CPA designation highly preferred

15+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a Controller-level role

Proven experience in a multi-entity environment, including consolidations and intercompany accounting

Hands-on experience overseeing payroll and financial reporting functions

Background in service-based or technology-driven organizations preferred

Strong ERP experience required; modern cloud-based systems experience highly valued
