Accounting Manager – Hybrid in DC

About the Company and Opportunity:

  • This position starts in a contract and depending on performance, fit, and needs of the business could go permanent.
  • This role is hybrid (3 in, 2 out)! Laptop is provided!
  • Pay: $58-60/hr

Overview of the Accounting Manager role:

  • ME Close (overseeing all reconciliations and journal entries)
  • Oversee all grants – heavy foundation based grants and some federal grants
  • Annual budget and forecasting
  • Supervise a team of 2
  • Oversee AP and AR
  • Ad hoc reporting/projects

Preferred Qualifications for the Accounting Manager:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • 10+ years of accounting experience
  • Grants/Non-profit experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • Proficient in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS)
  • Experience in Sage Intacct, Concur (must), Vena, and NetFourm is a bonus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
