Title: Accounting Supervisor
Location: Burlington, MA (3 days/week in office)
Salary: $95,000-$105,000

The Accounting Supervisor’s Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To
- Oversee day to day accounting operations including accounts payable, bank transactions, general ledger activity, and account reconciliations.
- Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and trial balances to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare, analyze, and review quarterly and year end financial statements in accordance with GAAP and statutory accounting principles.
- Ensure compliance with insurance industry regulations and support all statutory reporting requirements, including state filings.
- Assist with the coordination and preparation of year end audit materials and support external auditors as needed.
- Maintain strong internal controls and identify opportunities to enhance processes and department efficiencies.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development to accounting staff, including performance feedback and goal setting.
- Partner cross functionally with other departments to support company standards and finance related initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Five plus years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within insurance, financial services, or another regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP; exposure to statutory accounting principles is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience with month end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Prior supervisory or team lead experience required.
- Strong proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
