Client Relations Manager for a highly regarded global law firm client. This is a hybrid role and can be based out of Washington, DC or NYC. Ideal candidate is an experienced, results-oriented Client Relations Manager to identify/pursue opportunities to grow key client relationships. This is a high visibility role that collaborates with senior lawyers, and the global business development team, supporting systematic programs/initiatives to leverage highest value expansion efforts. Ideal candidate has substantive involvement in client targeting/business generation initiatives. Duties: Support relationship managers to meet benchmarks/implement industry best practices. Work to develop and benchmark against annual client plans to expand strategic growth. Facilitate meetings between relationship managers, senior stakeholders, and clients. Identify opportunities with clients and connect appropriate firm lawyers to pursue opportunities. Encourage use of marketing dashboards as a daily management tool to spot opportunities for collaboration. Collaborate with other Marketing & Business Development team members to assure coordinated approaches with key firm initiatives. Analyze industry, client, and market data to proactively identify potential client needs. Support initiatives, including client events, CLEs, and briefings. Project manage new business generation efforts with existing and new clients. Proactively work with the team on pitches, RFPs, and RFIs. Conduct prep sessions with attorneys prior to client meetings. Track win/loss record. Create compelling pitch materials. Leverage market research team to analyze market opportunities. Mentor/train junior client relations team members the correct protocols for organizing/maintaining key client plans, notes, emails, and details in Salesforce. Monitor compliance. Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required. MBA is a plus. Must have at least five years of experience in law firm or professional services marketing/business development. Proven success in marketing/business development. Previous law firm experience is ideal. Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills. Leadership and initiative skills. Advanced skills with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Experience with Salesforce is a plus. Salary: DC $153k- $216k. NYC $159k – $224k.
