Job Requirements The Data Engineer II will be responsible for translating complex business needs into actionable technical solutions and data infrastructure. This role is critical to building distributed, scalable, and fault-tolerant data systems that enable efficient data access, insights, and decision-making. Through deep collaboration with cross-functional teams, the Data Engineer II supports projects across the organization by delivering reliable pipelines, analytical tools, and scalable infrastructure in cloud environments. Directly contribute to customer acquisition and operational performance through reliable data systems. Your Responsibilities in This Role: Design and implement secure, scalable processes to automate data delivery and optimization.
Build and maintain infrastructure and tooling to support machine learning models and large-scale data processing.
Assemble, structure, and optimize complex datasets to meet business and performance requirements.
Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to enhance models and support data-driven insights.
Develop analytical tools and dashboards to extract insights from pipeline data and measure operational efficiency.
Implement and maintain systems to ensure high-quality, accessible, and monitored data.
Troubleshoot data issues through root cause analysis and deliver long-term solutions.
Evaluate and recommend tools for data ingestion, transformation, machine learning, and analysis.
Partner with executive, product, data, and design teams to address technical and infrastructure requirements.
Lead by example and mentor other engineers on technical skills and best practices. Here are the key qualifications for this role. Technical Skills: Experience developing and maintaining web interfaces using modern frameworks and technologies such as React, Angular, or similar.
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, including database modeling, SQL querying, Performance tuning and/ or Data migration Prior Experience: Experience gathering and documenting system requirements, creating system specifications, and performing impact analyses.
Familiarity with report automation methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Excellent communication and analytical problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively liaise between business stakeholders and technical teams. Project Specific Qualifications: This role includes additional qualifications to help us deliver bold, impactful work for our clients. Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline is required; Master’s degree preferred. Clearance: U.S. Citizenship required and the ability to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Public Trust Requirements: SEVEN (7) or more years of professional experience in a related technical field

Excellent communication and analytical problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively liaise between business stakeholders and technical teams. Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer or during meetings. Must be able to travel occasionally to client sites or company meetings. Ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, and in-person, requiring clear speech, listening, and written communication skills. Ability to move within an office environment, including reaching for files, using office equipment, and occasional light lifting (up to 10 pounds).
