Job Summary The Remote Travel Agent is responsible for assisting clients with planning, booking, and managing travel arrangements while working from a fully remote environment. This role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, personalized travel recommendations, and seamless end-to-end booking support for leisure and/or corporate travelers. Key Responsibilities Travel Planning & Booking Consult with clients to understand travel needs, preferences, and budgets Research and recommend destinations, flights, hotels, cruises, tours, and transportation Book and manage reservations using travel booking systems and supplier platforms Customer Service & Support Serve as the primary contact for clients before, during, and after travel Handle itinerary changes, cancellations, and travel disruptions Resolve client issues efficiently and professionally Sales & Client Relationships Promote travel packages, upgrades, and value-added services Build long-term client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals Meet or exceed individual sales and service goals Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate client records, invoices, and travel documentation Stay current on travel regulations, visa requirements, health advisories, and supplier policies Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry standards Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently in a remote environment Basic computer skills and comfort using online systems Preferred Prior experience in travel, hospitality, customer service, or sales Familiarity with booking platforms, GDS systems, or travel supplier portals Knowledge of domestic and international travel destinations Sales-driven mindset with attention to detail Skills & Competencies Excellent verbal and written communication Strong organizational and time-management skills Problem-solving and adaptability Relationship-building and consultative sales ability Attention to detail and follow-through Work Environment & Schedule Fully remote / work-from-home position Flexible schedule; evenings and weekends may be required Independent contractor (1099) or employee (W-2), depending on organization Compensation & Benefits (varies by organization) Competitive commission structure and/or base pay Performance incentives and bonuses Travel discounts and supplier perks Training and professional development opportunities Why Join Us Work remotely from anywhere Flexible scheduling and autonomy Opportunity to help clients create memorable travel experiences Supportive team environment with growth potential
