Overview
Contribute and mentor on the development, testing, and implementation of solutions that integrate mainframe/host, cloud, database, web, and GUI components.
Perform logical and physical database designs, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and operational reliability.
Review and evaluate existing database structures, providing recommendations for enhancements to improve performance and long-term sustainability.
Develop and maintain internet applications in a Microsoft environment, leveraging SQL Server (including stored procedures), Visual Studio, and IIS.
Conduct data analysis and transform business and user requirements into technical solutions for database development, operations, and maintenance.
Apply established data processing design principles to create system input, output, file, control, and processing methods that meet user needs.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver quality solutions on schedule. Required Capabilities At least 5 years of experience in systems development, testing, and implementation of integrated solutions.
Demonstrated expertise in SQL Server development, including stored procedures, logical/physical database design, and performance tuning.
Experience with Visual Studio and IIS in a Microsoft web environment.
Strong knowledge of data analysis, database development, and operations and maintenance activities.
Solid understanding of data processing design methods, with the ability to translate requirements into efficient system workflows.
Experience with enterprise-scale DoD or Federal systems, CMMI Level 3+ environments, Agile/DevSecOps practices, and cloud integration (Azure/AWS). Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline.
Optional – Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Developer, MCSD, MCSE).
